I've got this feeling it's really juicy, though I'm not sure if these are edible or not :P

Thankyou for comment! They are both juicy, edible and very tasty in reality:)

I know these are the red ones, not the black ones, but the name "Ribes", reminds me of Ribena juice drink. Now I know where Ribena got the name. Very nice looking berries. Happy Ruby Tuesday.

Elegant berries. I like the way the light varies on the photo. Those seem luscious.

So those are currants? They look delicious filled with a sweetness you can see.

Providing, of course, that they are supposed to be sweet!

Thankyou for all nice comments! Yes, we have used to make both pie and jellies and naturally the freezer is bursting with redcurrants. There is only one bush but it is huge and produces what seems like endless amounts of currants.

Dear Yrsa,
great picture of the red currants.
You have captured their rare translucence, which neither of the other red berries nor the blackberries have.
I have shared mine redcurrants with the birds.. That is they came in before me.
Some are stored in my freezer for winter joy.
