It reminds me of Petrology class back in end of last decade. The ice looks like a MICA sheets. Lovely pic.

I actually had to look up the sheets on the net. I can´t say I remember ever seeing those in reality, but they look indeed very similar! (And I wonder if not solid ice would have the same kind of dielectric capacities? Then again, ice is never completely "dry", there´s always some melted water on the surface, which defenately isn´t dielectric...)

But yes, this was a beautiful, sunny moment by the Inkoo river.
